Filmmakers Aditya Singh and Dharam Prakash travelled to the USA on 5 November 2012, and launched their second venture in Los Angeles, California. The pair also launched the first look of their second film "Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani". The duo shot for 20 days in Iceland, Norway and Russia. The movie was entirely shot in Iceland and Norway. Apart from shooting in natural locations like waterfalls, glaciers and jungles, the directors also shot in some famous spots like the Blue Lagoon (Lagafell) and the popular town of Flúðir. Blue Lagoon is a geothermal spa and is located 20 km away from Keflavík International Airport. The untitled film has been co-produced by Viacom 18 and Grazing Goat Pictures and will be distributed alongside Vikram Bhatt's "1920 London" with Reliance Entertainment. The official poster of "Alone 2" was released with an official music launch on 30 August 2013. The theatrical trailer of the film was released on 15 October which received a positive response. He falls in love with Kirti and marries her despite having been warned by his parents.
